Liverpool Reaches Personal Agreement with Hugo Ekitike Amid Striker Search

Liverpool is reportedly moving quickly to secure Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The club is preparing for the possible departure of Darwin Núñez this summer and has been linked with several forwards, with Ekitike emerging as a promising target. The Reds have apparently reached a personal contract agreement with the 21-year-old French striker, showing serious intent to bring him to Anfield.
Ekitike is said to be attracted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League and finds Liverpool’s project appealing. Discussions in recent days have convinced him to commit to the club, with a proposed five-year contract on the table. However, the deal is not guaranteed yet, as Liverpool considers other options and prioritizes Alexander Isak from Newcastle United as their main target.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Ekitike would come with a hefty price tag, as Eintracht Frankfurt values the young striker at around 80 to 85 million euros. This high valuation reflects Ekitike’s potential but also presents a financial challenge for the Merseyside club in the summer transfer window.
While the agreement with Ekitike is a significant step, Liverpool’s final decision will depend on their success in signing Isak. Should their efforts for Isak fail, the club is expected to fully commit to acquiring Ekitike, potentially adding a new dynamic forward to their squad for the upcoming season.
