Information
The Bundesliga is composed of 18 teams and adopts a double round-robin system (each team plays against the other teams twice, once at home and once away). The scoring system for a single match is as follows: the winner gets 3 points, the loser gets 0 points, and the draw results in both teams getting 1 point. The final rankings are determined by the cumulative points. If two or more teams have the same points, the rankings are determined as follows: a) the team with the most goals scored in the league; b) the team with the most goals scored in the league; c) the team with the most points in the matches between the tied teams; d) the team with the most goals scored in the matches between the tied teams; e) the team with the most away goals in the matches between the tied teams; f) the team with the most away goals in the entire season; g) If the teams are still tied, the relevant teams will need to play a playoff match at a neutral venue to determine the final rankings. For the 23-24 season, the Bundesliga ranked first in the UEFA coefficient rankings, so for the 24-25 season, it could get an additional Champions League spot. The top five teams in the league participate in next season's Champions League, the sixth-place team participates in next season's Europa League, and the seventh-place team participates in the European Conference League (the German Cup champion can also participate in the Europa League, and if the German Cup champion has already secured a Champions League or Europa League spot, the Europa League spot will be given to the seventh-place team in the Bundesliga, in which case the eighth-place team in the Bundesliga will get the UEFA Conference League spot). The bottom two teams in the league are relegated directly to the second division, while the third-from-bottom team plays a two-legged promotion-relegation playoff against the third-place team in the second division.
